Consolidate Change Orders into Original SOV lines when CO is created against existing item.

The current display of Change Orders in the Contract SOV is very unmanageable on contracts with multiple change orders. When a Change Order is created in Vista against an original SOV item it becomes part of that item in Vista, this should carry through to Trimble Pay so that the CO adjusts the existing Item instead of creating more un-numbered lines that are difficult to manage. Our Project teams have a hard time reviewing invoices when comparing Trimble Pay SOV display against reports from Vista. This has been a noted issue since we started using this product and we would like to see some progress on improving this display.

Ideally, the display of the SOV in Trimble Pay would mimic the display of the Subcontract Items in Vista for an integrated GC, where an Item, no matter how many changes have been applied against it still displays as one item with adjusted SOV value. This could be incorporated into the accounting items display if necessary, however since most of our Subcontractors are requesting the same change, we would prefer it is incorporated in the main SOV display. If there are GCs out there who would not want this consolidation, then a switch similar to the hide accounting items switch to consolidate change orders might be a viable option.

As part of this, when a CO is pulled into Trimble Pay it should include the Subcontract item number from Vista, whether against an original line or creating a new item with the CO, so that the CO will display in an organized manner whether in a collapsed (consolidated) view or an expanded view.

The impact on our subcontractors and project teams to try and figure out how to match the current SOV display/Pay App detail generation to the Vista Subcontract Item detail (and the Subcontract document) for invoice verification is significant and causing a lot of frustration with the Trimble Pay product.
